The Great Southern Steamup is a three-day spring weekend gathering at Gembrook in Victoria’s Dandenong Ranges with 45mm and 32mm gauge live steam layouts suitable for main line, narrow gauge and vintage steamers to run on.

Gembrook is an 80 minute drive from Melbourne and is the terminus of the Puffing Billy Railway. Experience the camaraderie of like-minded individuals and the exchange of ideas and opinions in the tradition of the Southern Highlands Steamup (NSW) and the Winter Sun Steamup (Gold Coast). Pre-Registration is a must to attend this event as there will be No tickets sales at the door and No public in attendance.
